Okay, let me preface this with a couple things:
1. Yes, I am a professional hairstylist (but I promise a monkey could do this)
2. Yes, I do have netural texture to my hair.
So, everyone in St Louis hates this heat and humidity.. well me and my handy husband have been working like crazy on the outside of our new house (we purchased it a year and a half ago so I guess its not technically new anymore) But we are DIY’ers and love every minute. But we also love food, alot. Which brings me to the reason I decide to share this treat.
After working long hours in the steaming hot, disgusting StL weather, I am starving. However, often I, and my lovely hubs are too tired to cook.. so we venture out to some delish spot for cocktails and dinner… I typically don’t want to hold a hot blowdryer to my already hot head after a shower nor do I want to curl it. So I air dry or heat free style.
I first shampoo and condition with the new Pureology Hydrate Sheer or the good ol’ regular hydrate. I towel dry my hair and prep my hair with a couple products

First, I spritz with Colour Fanatic (aka 21) spray
Then, (these are optional) I apply (a single pump) of Strength Cure split end salve to my highlighted ends and (2-3 squirts) of Strength Cure Fabulous lengths from my midshaft and down.

Finally, for the product that we have ALL been waiting for…drum roll please.. Hydrate Sheer Air Dry Creme. I use about a dime to nickle sized amount, evenly distributed in to both hands. I flip my head over and scrunch the product in from roots to ends. Everywhere. Now, I have fine long hair, some of you may need more, but start small and add. Don’t over use this product.

Okay, for some, this might be the last step to the beautiful waves (if you naturally have culry or wavy hair). Or… you can try this. I let my hair airdry a bit while applying my makeup and/or brushing my teeth, picking out my clothes, whatever. Then, I part my locks (which for me is down the middle but can be done on a side) I “french twist” (see demo below) my hair back into pigtails. And I go, let it dry, I get dressed I get in the car and drive to our destination… upon arrival or before leaving, take them out (they must be dry) and I fluff my hair and spray hairspray if available. and Walla, finito.

So some of you have alot of hair and it wouldn’t possibly dry enough. So.. go to bed in the pigtails and wake up with the perfect wave. Effortless and Chic. Enjoy.
